Kalamazoo IT do the BIG BIRMINGHAM SLEEPOUT

Birmingham Sleepover

The Kalamazoo IT Big Birmingham Sleepout 2019 team includes: Andrew Murphy, Dominic Wetherall, and Lydia Morton.

We are sleeping rough for the night with St Basils charity in Birmingham City Centre – 29th November 2019. We believe all young people deserve a safe place to stay at night, so please help us achieve this for the young people of Birmingham and donate.

Please donate, your money will help!

We are taking part in a sponsored event to sleep out in a cardboard box overnight in winter. This event is designed to help people think about what the alternatives might be for young people if services like St Basils didn’t exist. Therefore through our participation we intend to raise as much money in sponsorship as we can to enable the centre to continue supporting Birmingham.

What is the BIG Brum SleepOut?

It is a fundraising event challenging our group to build a dwelling out of cardboard and plastic sheeting and then sleep in it overnight in the grounds of Birmingham Cathedral in winter!

What’s it all for?

During the course of a year St Basils house over 1000 young people in Birmingham and over 1500 across the West Midlands in their 34 supported accommodation schemes, plus they help thousands more young people with face to face support and advice, but due to government cuts these services are at risk.

This year the event is happening at Birmingham City Cathedral on Friday 29th November 2019.
