Project Overview.
Due to the busy work schedule of Hanover’s IT team, they investigated outsourcing as a potential delivery mechanism for updating their IT equipment.
They were looking for a cost-effective solution that would take pressure off the IT team and allow for easy implementation of the equipment.
The Challenge.
Using global partners, Kalamazoo IT purchased PCs for every Hanover location. Each PC required imaging (to standardise user settings), software licenses and applications.
Once complete, an asset-labelling system was used to identify and track every piece of equipment brought in.
The Solution.
To begin, Kalamazoo IT managed the receipt and warehouse control of equipment for the more than 200 locations across the UK.
In addition, every PC was imaged and each piece of equipment was asset labelled. Working throughout Hanover’s locations, Kalamazoo scheduled the installations by appointment with each recipient.
Following installation of the new equipment, Kalamazoo managed the return and disposal of the old equipment under WEEE regulations. All data stored on the old equipment was destroyed in a safe and secure manner.
The nationwide coverage by Kalamazoo engineers ensured that multiple installations could be carried out simultaneously. This significantly reduced the project timescale, much to the appreciation of Hanover.
